I propose.....
The black panther party was founded and intended to operate with a ten point system as the backbone of its efforts. At the time of origination, these ten points were a call to renaissance and progression and a desparate cry to regenerate living conditions to a state livable by ALL races, colors and status. At this time I propose an updated version to consider for the society we live in today as it has grown and mutated into structures that are unrecognized (and if recognized, not satisfactorily addressed) by the original ten points. I believe the powers that were in place during the time of the black panther party's foundation are still in effect and still corrupt in open AND concealed manners, however I believe the injustices once shrouded have been made more openly obvious and ability to shift power to the hands of the people accompanies a greater responsibility for self as well as society. YES, all power to all people! But f the people are given back the power, are we a suitable leader?? Is not society built of selves? Isn't it true that it takes one to create many, so the many of us are really one!? And as one, would the hand set ablaze the arm? Would the fingers rape and pilage the toes? Will the eyes close and hide the way for the feet? Let us remember we are one, united in the eternal spirit of creation unseen AND seen, who gave us unalienable rights *each*, the God of this world and the world to come! If we call to absolve the corrupt powers in place we hold the responsibility of representing a power that WILL remain true and just! As humans, we reside in a temporary existence influenced by both powers of good and evil, the latter being a weaker force, but ever pursuing to discourage and disembody the former. We must strive in each action and word to, even upon misrepresenting the powers of good as our fallible bodies WILL do, CONTINUE to return to our path of righteousness--not to alienate or humiliate our brother, but to uplift and encourage! here are my revisions...
1. There will be freedom. Freedom to determine the destiny of our black and ALL oppressed communities.We believe that educated people of power NO MATTER WHAT COLOR OR HERITAGE should aid ALL oppressed bretheren in gaining the education and means to live a FREE life, and that community foundations and orginizations should be controlled by the *community*--and if corporatized, the corporation should be built and headed by members of the same community.
2. There will be JUST AND FAIR full employment for ALL people.We believe the government should not influence the ability or circumstance for employment of ANY people and especially minority races, colors or groups. We call each business man to implore just and fair compensation practices, and to honor his worker as his help and associate, not his slave. We call each business be it small or conglomorate to remember each person as a human being with rights, and not a wage earning statistic, and remove impersonal and inhumane systems and proceedures and replace them with considerate, cooperative measures to obtaining means of gain for every man involved.
3. There will be an end to the robbery by corporations and capitalist structures of ALL oppressed communities.We believe that structures in power do not exist without the minority societies that are trampled and oppressed to build them. Therefore, reparations especially in regards to slavery of african persons-some of the true founders of this country, but owed to anyone should be decided upon by agreed and unbiased (or equally biased) consensus and paid in a reasonable and timely fashion.
4. There will be housing fit for the shelter of human beings and comparable to that of persons unneeding of government aid.We believe landlords of government housing should be comprised of the community's peers or turned into cooperatives. We also believe our peers and community should be considered first concerning building and repairing such government aided dwellings.
5. There will be decent UNBIASED education for ALL people, regarding ALL people especially that of Africans, to expose the true nature of this decadent American society and our roles in history and present day.There will be no restrictions or opinions placed upon obtaining information regarding matters of ANY historical culture, especially that of the African and American history, and Native American history. We recognize that there is a need among our brothers to have an honorable purpose and that without knowing where you came from or have been through, it is impossible to possess pride or esteem for self or love and respect for each other.
6.There will be completely free health care for all black people in need in America and there will be established a health care system for Africa free of charge to Africa comparable (and if possible, better) to what America has established for itself.There will be donated to Africa large advanced medical machinery and updated buildings to facilitate health care proceedures in oppressed regions, as well as aid in establishing an educational community for Africa's oppressed regions. American government funded programs as well as American private health providers and suppliers should budget and allocate spending to include charity and outreach to Africa's health issues.
7. THERE WILL BE AN END TO POLICE BRUTALITY AND MURDER OF BLACK PEOPLE, ANY PEOPLE OF COLOR, ANY MINORITY, AND ANY OPPRESSED PEOPLE INSIDE THE UNITED STATES.Prejudice will no longer be placed on individuals when it comes to treatment by police enforcement, and persons in power that have been exposed as corrupt and injust leaders will be immediately relieved of their duty and replaced with a person decided upon by the community. Police will be given a no tolerance policy for misuse of power or abuse OF ANY KIND be it related to work or personal life. And we assert that it is our right to defend ourselves against such armed forces illigitimately imposing corrupted force upon black and/or ANY oppressed people.
8. There will be an end to all wars of aggression and economical gain in which the United States participates.The various conflicts that exist around the world stemming directly from the aggressive desire of the United States to gain economical status and revolving around commerce should be ceased. If these situations are not stopped and erradicated, we assert that it is the right of the people to defend themselves by any means necessary against their aggressors.
9. There will be freedom for ALL oppressed people unrightfully held in U.S federal, state, county, city and military prisons and jails. There should be IMMEDIATE research and review of ALL incarcerated minorities' cases and fair and TIMELY retrials by juries **AND JUDGES** of peers for the persons accused, charged, and convicted. A judge of one's peers is not limited to color of skin, but also a peer of likeminded ethical and spiritual statutes!! The trials given to black and oppressed people now held in the United States prisons and jails have often received unfair consideration by judges and juries NOT impartial to the defendant. Any persons receiving sentancing by fascist or racist or biased judicial representatives should be reexamined and IMMEDIATELY freed if found innocent. There will be an immediate end to the trading of stocks and bonds related to prisons and incarceration. One man should not benefit from the unfortunate bonds of another, and jails should NEVER be treated as a profitable business. This is a legalized form of slavery. Jails must be solely existent for the containment and rehabilitation of persons found guilty of crimes, and for no other purpose.
10. There will be FAIR AND EQUAL bread, housing, education, clothing, justice, peace and community control of technology, law making, and voting.
When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bonds which have connected them with another, and to assume, among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that, whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute a new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and, accordingly, all experience hath shown that mankind are most disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But, when a long train of abuses and usurpation, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.All power to the most High who is our creator, who made us in His image, therefore all power to all people!

The original ten points....
1. WE WANT FREEDOM. WE WANT POWER TO DETERMINE THE DESTINY OF OUR BLACK AND OPPRESSED COMMUNITIES.We believe that Black and oppressed people will not be free until we are able to determine our destinies in our own communities ourselves, by fully controlling all the institutions which exist in our communities.
2. WE WANT FULL EMPLOYMENT FOR OUR PEOPLE.We believe that the federal government is responsible and obligated to give every person employment or a guaranteed income. We believe that if the American businessmen will not give full employment, then the technology and means of production should be taken from the businessmen and placed in the community so that the people of the community can organize and employ all of its people and give a high standard of living.
3. WE WANT AN END TO THE ROBBERY BY THE CAPITALISTS OF OUR BLACK AND OPPRESSED COMMUNITIES.We believe that this racist government has robbed us and now we are demanding the overdue debt of forty acres and two mules. Forty acres and two mules were promised 100 years ago as restitution for slave labor and mass murder of Black people. We will accept the payment in currency which will be distributed to our many communities. The American racist has taken part in the slaughter of our fifty million Black people. Therefore, we feel this is a modest demand that we make.
4. WE WANT DECENT HOUSING, FIT FOR THE SHELTER OF HUMAN BEINGS.We believe that if the landlords will not give decent housing to our Black and oppressed communities, then housing and the land should be made into cooperatives so that the people in our communities, with government aid, can build and make decent housing for the people.
5. WE WANT DECENT EDUCATION FOR OUR PEOPLE THAT EXPOSES THE TRUE NATURE OF THIS DECADENT AMERICAN SOCIETY. WE WANT EDUCATION THAT TEACHES US OUR TRUE HISTORY AND OUR ROLE IN THE PRESENT-DAY SOCIETY.We believe in an educational system that will give to our people a knowledge of the self. If you do not have knowledge of yourself and your position in the society and in the world, then you will have little chance to know anything else.
6. WE WANT COMPLETELY FREE HEALTH CARE FOR All BLACK AND OPPRESSED PEOPLE.We believe that the government must provide, free of charge, for the people, health facilities which will not only treat our illnesses, most of which have come about as a result of our oppression, but which will also develop preventive medical programs to guarantee our future survival. We believe that mass health education and research programs must be developed to give all Black and oppressed people access to advanced scientific and medical information, so we may provide our selves with proper medical attention and care.
7. WE WANT AN IMMEDIATE END TO POLICE BRUTALITY AND MURDER OF BLACK PEOPLE, OTHER PEOPLE OF COLOR, All OPPRESSED PEOPLE INSIDE THE UNITED STATES.We believe that the racist and fascist government of the United States uses its domestic enforcement agencies to carry out its program of oppression against black people, other people of color and poor people inside the united States. We believe it is our right, therefore, to defend ourselves against such armed forces and that all Black and oppressed people should be armed for self defense of our homes and communities against these fascist police forces.
8. WE WANT AN IMMEDIATE END TO ALL WARS OF AGGRESSION.We believe that the various conflicts which exist around the world stem directly from the aggressive desire of the United States ruling circle and government to force its domination upon the oppressed people of the world. We believe that if the United States government or its lackeys do not cease these aggressive wars it is the right of the people to defend themselves by any means necessary against their aggressors.
9. WE WANT FREEDOM FOR ALL BLACK AND OPPRESSED PEOPLE NOW HELD IN U. S. FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY, CITY AND MILITARY PRISONS AND JAILS. WE WANT TRIALS BY A JURY OF PEERS FOR All PERSONS CHARGED WITH SO-CALLED CRIMES UNDER THE LAWS OF THIS COUNTRY.We believe that the many Black and poor oppressed people now held in United States prisons and jails have not received fair and impartial trials under a racist and fascist judicial system and should be free from incarceration. We believe in the ultimate elimination of all wretched, inhuman penal institutions, because the masses of men and women imprisoned inside the United States or by the United States military are the victims of oppressive conditions which are the real cause of their imprisonment. We believe that when persons are brought to trial they must be guaranteed, by the United States, juries of their peers, attorneys of their choice and freedom from imprisonment while awaiting trial.

WE WANT LAND, BREAD, HOUSING, EDUCATION, CLOTHING, JUSTICE, PEACE AND PEOPLE'S COMMUNITY CONTROL OF MODERN TECHNOLOGY.When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bonds which have connected them with another, and to assume, among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
